This month’s featured art is built on one of my favorite quotes from Pirke Avot, usually translated as “Sayings of the Fathers”…but read it as “Saying of the Ancestors” since “Avot” can refer to ‘fathers and mothers’! The colors of the words in Hebrew mirror the same word translations in English, helping you learn the meanings of the phrases. The lion’s body contains the ‘hidden’ Hebrew word, “Chazak”, which means “Be Strong”…inner strength, not muscle strength. We could all use more of that these days! This piece is available as a Giclee print, with the actual image size of approximately 6″ x 10″ and total paper size approximately 12″ x 14”. You frame it to match your recipient’s taste; mailed in protective clear sleeve in mailing tube, $50 including shipping and handling.
